Jet black in appearance, Indian Murrah Buffalo can be found mainly in southern parts of Haryana. This buffalo breed are reared for milk production. Approx. 2200 litres is the average milk produced by this breed in a lactation time period of three hundred and ten days. Other details about the appearance of Indian Murrah buffalo are black eyes, short & thin ears. The males can be identified by their thick and massive neck, while females have thin and long neck.
